We are pleased to announce the NEW Joga Bonito Skills Program ran by Cavalry FC Head of Recruitment & Player Development Oliver Minatel. Oliver was born in Brazil and had a successful playing career with 167 appearances and 31 goals before retiring early due to injury. He was a highly technical player and is looking forward to sharing his knowledge and ability with young Calgary soccer players. Oliver will be assisted by Diogo Macedo who was a former a 14 year professional from Brazil.

Joga Bonito, which is Portuguese for “The Beautiful Game” emphasizes beauty, style, and individual accomplishment. Brazilian players are world-renowned for their amazing skills with the ball.

This is an initial 10-session program that will focus on individual skills where players will be able to express themselves and their love for the beautiful game. Players will come out of this 10-session program with higher confidence on the ball and technical ability to showcase during their games!
