Mission & Vision:
“We may run, walk, stumble, drive or fly, but let us never lose sight of the reason for the journey . . .”
“Our players are like jars of clay - each is molded in a unique fashion and the end product is the most beautiful and artistic creation imaginable and sits in the exact right spot on the shelf.”

WHO? The Bowness Soccer Club is made up Bowness families. Each member, by volunteering, together with the executive committee is a part of the program’s ongoing success. Our current executive members are:
President: Linda Braun, stay-at-home mom of three children
Vice-President: Alan Wohlgemuth, working dad with two children
Treasurer: Robert Braun, working dad with three children
Secretary: Lori Ostergaard, working mom with one child.
WHAT? The Bowness Soccer Club is a community-based recreational soccer program for players aged 3–16. The program is designed with all skill levels in mind. It is run completely by volunteers (the parents) and provides children with the opportunity to build relationships, improve physical fitness, develop athletic skills and team play, and sleep better at night. Our program is tailored for each age level and includes practice nights, game nights and special skill development opportunities.
WHERE? This program is hosted directly in the community where possible, with convenience being a high priority. Our main playing field is at Our Lady of Assumption Elementary school, located at 34 Ave. NW (corner of Sarcee Trail and 16th Ave). All games are scheduled on home fields for younger age groups. Older age groups play half their games on home fields.
WHEN? The Bowness Soccer Club offers approximately 12 weeks of organized play each spring, as well as approximately 10 weeks of recreational play in the fall. Spring season runs from April to June. Fall season runs from September to December.
WHY? We know it’s important for families to be active and enjoy the outdoors, and this program provides a great opportunity for both. Children and youth get some real exercise, while their families benefit from getting to know the neighbours and being more involved in the community.
