Lee Jackson has been playing soccer for nearly 35 years, primarily in the Vancouver Lower Mainland. His experience has ranged from playing for community teams as a youth, to playing for Delta Metro United in the Fraser Valley Soccer League and Club Ireland in the Pacific Coast League. He was offered an invitation to train with a soccer club in Scotland in 1986; however, he chose to stay in Canada for family reasons.
Lee began his hand at coaching over 15+ years ago, when he was an assistant coach for a U5 team. He then assisted with a U16 Boys team for two seasons, helping to send them to two league titles. He later took over as the coach for a team in the Vancouver Metro Women’s Soccer League, prior to moving to Calgary with his family.
Lee joined Calgary West Soccer Club in 2007 as coach of the Play & Train session, for the first two years of the program, and continues to assist with both indoor and outdoor player technical sessions.
As the father of two young children, Lee’s affinity with communicating with kids of all ages has been a key in helping him to teach his love of the game to all age levels.
