ICHL Game Cancellations

It is important that you let the gamescheduler@calgarywestsoccer.com know if you have cancelled a game so that this information can be passed onto the scheduled referee.  The referees need to be given a minimum of 1 hour notice.

If the referee is not provided with a minimum or 1 hour notice or if we are not informed of the cancellation and the referee shows up to the field, CWSC will have to pay the referee.  This can become expensive for the Club.

If you decide to reschedule a cancelled a game, please email the gamescheduler@calgarywestsoccer.com as soon as you can so that there is enough time to find a referee.

CMSA Game Cancellations

The 2 points below have been taken directly from the CMSA Outdoor Rules of Play.

E. Games scheduled on Community fields may be re-scheduled if the coaches mutually agree, alternative arrangements are made, and above all else, CMSA must be advised by both coaches prior to the game taking place.

In this case, also email the gamescheduler@calgarywestsoccer.com to let her know.

I. Only the Referee has the discretionary power to suspend or terminate games whenever, by reason of the elements, interference by spectators, or any other causes which he considers such stoppage is necessary.  The referee must file a report of the incident within 2 business days to CMSA.  The game will only be rescheduled if CMSA considers it necessary and time for replaying is available.  The CMSA Discipline Committee has the authority to award game points in such games, to neither, one or both teams as CMSA deems appropriate.
